About Us
The Eugene Center for Mindful Living offers psychotherapy, consultation, and education to individuals, couples, families, groups, students, educators, healthcare professionals, and businesses. Our mission is to bring the practices of mindfulness and meditation to psychotherapy and organizations, promoting well-being and compassion in our Eugene community and beyond.
What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the practice of bringing attention to the present moment with curiosity, openness, and acceptance. It offers a way to manage life’s everyday stresses — physical, emotional and relational — and can be practiced by people of all ages and backgrounds.
Research shows that mindfulness helps to cultivate psychological health, empathy, and emotional flexibility. Reducing anxiety, depression, and emotional reactivity are all linked with the practice of mindfulness. Simple mindfulness breathing techniques, body awareness exercises, and physical engagement such as walking and yoga can help to promote calm and clarity.
